The night started with appetizers from the chef, one of which became one of my favorite things that I ate last night! On the left is a celeriac crisp, topped with a beef jelly, little mushrooms, cheddar mousse, parmesan cheese, and solidified marrow shards  on the right is a Test Kitchen take on millionaire shortbread with a chicken liver pâté base, mushroom and truffle pâté, topped with a square of dark chocolate and a couple shreds of gold leaf  while the texture of the pâté square didn't really gel well with me, I quickly forgot about it when I popped the celeriac crisp into my mouth. I can still taste that cheddar mousse, which is definitely something that I will be giving a try at making when our new kitchen gets put in - oh the joys!!
